Lenten Virtual Prayer Retreat4 Live, Online Retreat Sessions - 4 New Ways to Praywith Dr. Bradley Davidson

Enrich your season of Lent. Join us online for a 4-week Lenten Virtual Prayer Retreat.

Facilitated by Bradley Davidson, PhD – Spiritual Director, Guide, and Companion

As we prepare for the season of Lent, the forty-day period before Easter, we often turn our attention to honoring and replicating the sacrifices of our Lord leading up to his crucifixion. This Lenten observation often takes the form of giving up or abstaining from something in our lives. During this Lenten season, I invite you to join us via Zoom for a small, intimate Lenten Prayer Retreat.

As we recall Christ’s retreat into the desert for 40 days, we will gather virtually four times during Lent. Each time we meet, we will learn a new way of praying, including the Breath Prayer, Lectio Divina, and other ways of prayer. We will have the opportunity to spend time, away from the group, to practice our new ways of praying, then share our experiences together at the conclusion of each session. What a lovely way to prepare for your own forty days of prayer and meditation during this holy season of the year.

Today, I am inviting you to register and plan to attend this time of learning and intimate communion with God and each other. Our retreat will be held online via Zoom. Even via Zoom, you will find a holy and sacred place of learning and prayer.

Our retreat group will be relatively small so I encourage you to register as soon as possible. I look forward to being with you as we enrich our observance of Lent.

Welcome to retreat.

To quote Richard Foster, “Spiritual Direction is an interpersonal relationship in which we learn how to grow, live, and love in the spiritual life.” The Spiritual Director really doesn’t ‘direct’ at all; instead, they accompany you on your spiritual journey; practicing holy listening, curiosity, and serving as a companion and guide. Spiritual Direction is a safe place to explore what you believe about God, deepen your relationship with the Holy, and learn how to listen to the promptings of the Spirit in your life. Spiritual Direction can be done in a one-on-one setting or in small groups.

No. Spiritual Direction is practiced in a number of spiritual traditions and is even practiced by individuals who do not ascribe to any particular belief system. Bradley Davidson is a practicing Christian Spiritual Director but honors the spiritual tradition and beliefs of all with whom he works.

Spiritual Direction sessions may be held in-person or virtually. What is most important is that the time and location of the meeting enables you to be in a quiet and private place. During the COVID pandemic, Bradley Davidson conducts all of his sessions (both individual and group) via Zoom or telephone.

This depends on the type of work you are doing with Bradley. He offers many of his group programs free of charge or at a nominal fee. Fees for individual Spiritual Direction may be discussed with Bradley by phone.
